Lawrence J. Fedewa began as a professor, then founded an experimental
college for adults, was recruited to help introduce the first major
computer-assisted education (CBE) system in the world, co-founded an
institute for computer programmers and consultants based in the Philippines
and serving the ASEAN countries, became an international expert in
educational technology, and then headed federal contractor firms for over 20
years. In the meantime Dr. Fedewa founded the Washington Institute of
Technology, participated in two joint ventures with The Johns Hopkins
University School of Public Health, another with the National Education
Association, took a couple of breaths, and has now started a new Washington
DC firm specializing in technology transfer. He has been a frequent
commentator on public affairs, principally as an editor/publisher and
speaker.
