Last Friday, the White House announced they are now expecting triplets – three years in a row of budget deficits in excess of $1.4 trillion.

In community parks, main street parades, and in backyards, Americans celebrated our nation’s 234th birthday on July 4. Many were affiliated with groups – scouts, veterans, 4-H clubs, civic organizations, elected officials, candidates, etc. – including the still growing number of concerned citizens broadly referred to as members of the Tea Party.

The Tax that Wasn’t
During the ObamaCare debate the Democrats vehemently rejected the notion that their mandate that every American buy health insurance or pay a penalty was a new tax. When ABC’s George Stephanopoulos suggested the mandate appeared to fit the definition of a tax, Barack Obama burst out, “I absolutely reject that notion.” Obama infamously promised not to raise taxes on anyone making less than $200,000; $250,000 for couples.
